Buying : electric double oven in France (Neff or Bosch)

Does anyone know where we can purchase electric double under bench oven in France?

If this isn't possible, we will drive to the UK and purchase. Does anyone then know the best value for money electrical outlet in UK?

any help would be appreciated.

To be honest I've never seen an encastrable double oven in France, that doesn't mean they're not available but a quick online search didn't find one.

Never seen one, but I have never looked, having said that i have brought a number of appliances here.

This sounds daft but try the big supermarkets, such as Cora, they often have a small display of electrical items, but when asked they produce a huge catalog of all domestic appliances electrical.

The same goes for places like "BUT" and Darcy.

The good thing is that buying through chains like them you get a "All France" guarantee.

The other way you might try is to find out the model number from a UK store then search for it on Google.fr This works for car parts sometimes.

I had a slightly longer look, places like Darty have Samsung and Rosiere, and I did see a Smeg somewhere. We have a Bosch oven but that shop didn't have any doubles, though possibly one of the smaller shops could get one for you.

NEFF make 6 under counter ( built in ) models see link to Neff UK , where you can get the model no's ,now find the nearest Neff Dealer in France and your 1/2 way there or try as Paul say the big Supermarkets

Thanks so far for your input...We should have said we had done the normal Google search things and visited a few Electrical stores in Paris but no joy with double ovens.

If we have to purchase in the UK then which stores are be places and prices to purchase from?

John Lewis has the product but not negotiable. Curry's also has the product but only for home delivery not store pickup

A double oven usually has a grill in the top one. In the UK the grilling unit is the 'significant' part of the top oven which nowadays also acts as a smaller secondary oven. This is because we, British, grill/toast a lot of stuff. They don't use grilling as a cooking medium much in France therefore you are less likely to find a double oven there.

We have had a few small loads delivered to us in France and Belgium - Vekaplan panels, washing machine, cooker and mattress.

If you Google something like 'small deliveries to France', you should get some options, including Shiply, which didn't work so well for us (a big company took the load and ended up delivering very late, with damage). Lots of removal companies do part loads too, if you can wait for them to have a space. I think someone already mentioned sterlingshopping.co.uk< who might be able to help too.

For us it worked out cheaper than going back ourselves and we had some of the goods delivered to the transport company in the UK.

If you use this option, you can buy through an online supplier like AO.com, who we bought from recently - excellent customer services and delivery. We changed the order the day before and still go it the next day, with a one hour delivery slot.
